Re-Building Active Participation is a seminar developed within the framework of the Action 3.1 of “Youth in Action” Program (YiA), Youth in the World: Cooperation with the Neighbouring Countries of the European Union, targeting Training and Networking Projects in the youth field.

In the current context of international crisis, civil society is assuming the role of an active agent in public life, an agent capable of taking decisions for the common good. This is only possible through networking and seeking synergies. So, in these times of social change we consider it´s essential to work with young people, encouraging critical thinking, discussion and exchange of experiences on the topic of citizen participation.

One part of the seminar will be based on presentations and panel discussions, which will present reflections on the role of citizen participation in our societies, their ideological background and different tools that help citizenship to be an active agent of social transformation. On the other hand, we plan to visit local initiatives and workshops for the acquisition of tools to promote the participation of citizens, where our project partners will be able to exhibit and share their experiences.
